God's Will For Your Life
God is awesome, all powerful and all knowing. Existing outside of time above His creation He has the perfect perspective on the world and living in it. So how do we gain God’s insight and perspective, “God’s will” on our life and daily living?

God’s prophet Micah shares God’s Word with us (Micah 6:8) as it relates to discerning God’s will for our lives. “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?"

What is God’s will for our lives?

God’s desire for us is that we would live lives characterized by justice, kindness and walking in a close relationship with Him.  Living in justice is operating in righteousness, that is we live right in relationship with God and the people we come into contact with.

A Relationship With God

Is it possible to have a relationship with God?  Many people wonder if God is relational since we can not see or touch Him.  But there are many people who we can’t see with whom we have relationships.  For example, my father lives in DeWitt, IA and when I lived in Aurora, CO,  we had a great relationship.  We talked on the phone and emailed each other a few times a week.  Just because I could not see or touch him, did not limit my relationship with my father.

Our First Relationship

Our lives are full of relationships.  Our first relationship is between a person and God.  We are all in a relationship with God; sometimes it is a healthy relationship with open communication, love and forgiveness.  Other times it is a strained relationship blocked by guilt and shame, yearning to be restored.  We are all in the process of realizing our relationship with God and each other.

Discover God

How do we discover someone who has always been in existence. God is, He always has been and He always will be. God describes Himself in His Word, the Bible, this way at times; ““I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:8)

So discovering God is like discovering dust or the sun, you probably won’t receive a Nobel Prize. Or maybe it’s like a blind person discovering the Sun, they cannot see the Sun but they experience the Sun’s impact on them.

What is Truth?

Find the Answer...What is TruthPeople have been asking, “What is truth?” since Jesus was alive and long before that. We were created with a thirst for knowledge and a desire for the truth. It is a part of who we are. So, what is truth?

After Jesus was arrested and given a mock trial by the religious authorities of the Jews, He was brought to Pontius Pilate for sentencing. Pontius Pilate was Governor over Roman Iudaea, only he had the authority to sentence a person to death and the Jewish authorities wanted Jesus executed for blasphemy. As Pilate interrogated Jesus he asked, “Are you King of the Jews?” Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm.” Therefore Pilate said to Him, “So You are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” Pilate *said to Him, “What is truth?” (As recorded in The Gospel of John chapter 18) Was Pilate seeking to know truth or spouting the exasperation of a skeptic trapped in reality? Many people are seeking truth, others are arguing skeptics or maybe a little of both. Who are you?
